City Council meeting

A regular meeting of the Fremont City Council will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall Council Chambers, 3300 Capitol Ave., Building A.

The meeting will be broadcast live on Fremont cable Channel 27 and online at www.fremont.gov/city/hall/webcasts/councilmeetingwebcast.htm.

The council will consider:

n Approving plans for the new Fire Station No. 2, which has a price tag of $3.8 million.

  • Approving a $3 million loan to Allied Housing for a 53-unit affordable-housing project on the Irvington district's Main Street.

  • Recommendations from the Green Task Force about making the city more environmentally friendly.
