Tri-For-Fun Triathlon — 5 a.m. check-in, 7 a.m. start, Shadow Cliffs Regional Park, 2500 Stanley Blvd., Pleasanton. The Tri-For-Fun course features a 400-yard swim in warm water; a 11-mile bike ride on flat streets and a three-mile run on a rolling fire trail. n Jail Break Run — 6:30 a.m. check-in, 8 a.m. race, 10 a.m. children's run, Alameda County Sheriff's Office Regional Training Center, 6289 Madigan Road, Dublin. The Alameda County Deputy Sheriff's Association hosts a 5K run/walk, a 10K run, a half-mile and one-mile children's run. The course is flat and fast loop for the 5K. The 10K course will run along the walls of the jail (all inmates will be indoors). The children's course, for those 8 and younger, will be held at the Training Center's running track. Entry fees for both the 10K run and 5K run/walk is $25 pre-registered, $30 race day. Children's event fees are both $5. Open to Tri-Valley families who are low-income or uninsured, including those enrolled in Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal Managed Care. A wide array of performers for this Broadway revue include: Romar De Claro, who has performed for the American Musical Theatre of San Jose; Victoria Theodore, pianist and keyboardist who currently is touring with Stevie Wonder; Lorraine De Arco, lead vocalist of the TAAL Band; and Laura Delahaye, who has performed in musicals and dramatic performances since the age of 9.
