SAN LORENZO — Servando Cardenas pitched four shutout innings and leadoff hitter Rojo Reyes went 3-for-3, as Union City National won the 9-to-10-year-old title with a 12-0 win over Treeview in the finals of the District 45 All-Stars at San Lorenzo Park.

Union City National moves on to the Section 3 playoffs, which begin Wednesday in Tracy.

After dropping a 6-5 decision to Treeview in the opening weekend of All-Stars, Union City National reeled off seven straight victories, including Saturday's 4-0 win to force a winner-take-all matchup.

Cardenas scattered two hits, both singles, walked two and had eight strikeouts in four innings.

Reyes was the offensive star for Union City National. He had two singles, a triple, a walk, and scored twice to set the tone for Union City National.

In the top of the first, Reyes led off with a single, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. He scored on a groundout by Cardenas.

In the third, Jordan Soto led off with a single and scored on a two-out, bases loaded walk by Cameron Fleming.

Treeview had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the third, but Cardenas escaped without allowing any runs. Kevin Reis reached on an error and advanced to second on a single by Jimmy Magallanez. With two outs, Hunter Scheid walked. Manny Romero hit a grounder up the middle, but Reyes was able to scoop it up and step on second for the force.

for a 4-0 lead, as Ruben Romero doubled with one out and scored on an error by the shortstop. Reyes tripled to left-center to score Lorenzo Segura.
